A handy organizer pouch with two mesh-sided compartments.
Originally designed to utilize the space above our Horizontal Brain Cell laptop case inside of the , over time the Snake Charmer has become hugely popular with folks who have neither. The Snake Charmer has two separate compartments with #5 YKK zippers; both sides of the Snake Charmer are heavy-weight mesh, allowing you to easily see what's inside.
We intended it to organize small electronic geegaws and gimcracks, but you’ve all found umpteen other uses, from ad-hoc toiletries kit, to seat-of-the-pants tool bag, to try-some-of-that lunch kit or even a travel coffee kit. Its side-by-side compartments allow (or perhaps even encourage) that very basic, binary level of organizing: clean/dirty, metric/standard, vegan/vegetarian, extravagance/necessity, milk chocolate/dark chocolate -- you’ll figure it out.
There’s two sizes of Snake Charmer from which to choose:

Both the Small and Large Snake Charmer feature an updated design introduced in late 2016, though they still have all the same features you’ve appreciated these past 15-or-so years, like a simple webbing grab/hang loop over the center of gravity and breathable/see-thru mesh side panels. To update the design of the Snake Charmer, we added one O-ring tether point in each compartment so you can use our K and/or in the Charmer, and a 1” / 25mm triangle snap-hook on one end so you can attach it to ... well, whatever you think best.
We also tweaked the shape a bit, figuring no one was squeezing it into the top of the Brain Bag any more anyway. It's now just a little more rectilinear to more fully exploit its dimension-to-volume ratio, but not too much because we still liked its attractive, sort of jellybean appearance. The overall size remains pretty much the same. We swapped the #8 zippers with metal sliders for #5 zippers with plastic sliders: the #5’s are more than adequately tough and the plastic won’t scratch stuff or rust, plus they save a bit of weight.
In January of 2016, Tom was on a wildlife safari (viewing, not shooting) in Tanzania when he realized that what he really wanted was a smaller Snake Charmer to organize his various travel accessories. When he returned he designed exactly that, and we are offering this now as well. The new size is, not surprisingly, even cuter than the full size version. Tom likes to note that “Like all of us humans, it was conceived in Africa,” but we’re not sure what that has to do with anything.
